As Product Manager and Product Designer at Team BLUECHXP, my role is to understand the challenge of making stock market education fun and engaging in order to design and deliver our product. My responsibilities include product and business strategy, conducting user interviews, UX/UI design, roadmapping, user acquisition, data analysis, testing, and hiring.
UpnUp

As CEO, Product Manager, and UX Designer of UpnUp Enterprises, LLC, I honed my skills conducting market and user research, developing user stories, creating wireframes and detailed UI designs, coordinating with developers, balancing team priorities, making business decisions, testing releases, and pitching to potential investors. With the vision of developing a more effective way for groups of friends to plan trips, I led our amazing team of four through all phases of the software development process from problem to product launch.
Race to Zero
Project Manager, TEAM Illinois
Race to Zero is a competition hosted by the U.S. Department of Energy to design a net-zero energy solar house.
As head of Team Illinois, I recruited and led 28 engineering and architecture students in the year-long competition, where we were awarded Grand Winner Finalist (as the only team not professor-led). My responsibilities included managing our six sub-teams, securing key advisors including renowned architecture firm Skidmore, Owings & Merrill (SOM), and presenting to judges at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL).
Solar Decathlon China 2013
Systems Lead & Architecture Team, TEAM PKUI
Solar Decathlon is a U.S. Department of Energy collegiate competition made up of 10 contests that challenge student teams to design and build full-size, solar-powered houses. Solar Decathlon China 2013 was the first Solar Decathlon held in China and co-hosted by China's National Energy Administration.
As Systems Lead and architecture team member of Team PKUI (Peking University / University of Illinois), my responsibilities over the span of the two-year international project included managing engineering/architecture coordination, architectural design from concepts to construction documents, rendering 3D walkthroughs, securing key sponsorships, and physically constructing our modular house over a ten-day period in Datong, China.
Red Bull Can You Make It?
RBCYMI 2014, Team Illini
Red Bull Can You Make It? is an 8-day, 1000km+ race across Europe without money, food, or transportation - only cans of Red Bull to trade as currency.
To earn a spot in the competition, our team of three launched a 22,000-person reach social media campaign, getting our application video to be voted 4th out of 300 US applicants. Competing against 99 other teams from around the world, we successfully made it to the finish line in Berlin, hitting 8 checkpoints in different cities across Europe along the way.
University of Illinois CEE Department Addition and Renovation
Graduate Research Assistant
The Civil & Environmental Engineering (CEE) department at the University of Illinois is currently undergoing a four-phase modernization plan.
While a graduate student of the CEE department, I worked directly with the department head to model conceptual designs, perform cost analysis, and create fundraising media for the $32M+ facility addition/renovation and “Smart Bridge”
